In a decisive blow to the local illegal drug trade, operatives from the Police Regional Office 4A arrested two suspected high-level drug traffickers during a sting operation in Batangas City on Thursday, May 21. The operation, which took place in Barangay Sta. Clara, resulted in the recovery of over P1.4 million worth of suspected crystal meth, locally known as shabu.\n\nThe suspects, identified by their aliases 'Leony' and 'Bopak,' were caught after selling P10,000 worth of the illegal substance to an undercover police officer. Subsequent searches revealed the suspects were in possession of 42 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing the illicit substance.\n\nLocal authorities have reiterated their commitment to intensifying intelligence-led operations to secure communities and disrupt major trafficking networks across the region.
