In response to this crisis, the Valencia City Council passed Resolution No. 294-2025, urging national authorities to take action against the First Bukidnon Electric Cooperative, Inc. (FIBECO). Taking swift notice, the Department of Energy (DOE) has formally stepped in to investigate and resolve the technical and administrative supply kinks plaguing the region. This intervention marks a critical step toward securing energy stability in Bukidnon and enforcing stricter accountability standards for local electric cooperatives nationwide.
